Vermont Organics Reclamation, Inc. (VOR) is embarked on the development of a vertically integrated, agriculture based industry.  Our concept is to develop a nested set of value added business enterprises the foundation of which is optimizing the use of agricultural byproducts while minimizing the adverse effects of these byproducts on local environments.

The initial step in this endeavor is the implementation of a soil medium business that manufactures and sells wholesale products for greenhouse and gardener use from materials derived from dairy manure, coffee processing, and logging.  These products include potting soils, green house plant growth media, raised bed planting material, lawn soil amendments, planting pots, etc.

VOR will follow with the development and sales (wholesale and retail) of hardy plant species that facilitate the control of storm water runoff by curtailing stream bank erosion.  Other indigenous species for landscaping applications will follow.

While working with the suppliers of agricultural byproduct, VOR will facilitate the use of these byproduct materials to control excess nutrients reentering the environment by limiting their reentry to fields and landfills in excess.  Such techniques include the use of the materials, suitable processed, as animal bedding and biomass fuels.

VOR will work with others in areas where its plant soils and raw materials can provide the basis for them to provide local based greenhouse grown plant and vegetable products, energy products, and other uses.
